How It Works

  • The Parachute Eject is designed to screw into a 2L PET bottle, and release a latch to open the parachute bay.
  • The PE mechanism is screwed in place, holding the parachute bay door in place during flight.
  • Once the rocket system is ready for flight, the PE mechanism is turned on and magnetically armed.
  • When apogee is reached and the rocket tilts over, the PE mechanism releases the parachute bay door and the parachute is released.
  • The system resets and stands ready to be armed again.
