This is a safe and fun way to replicate a water rocket launch in a classroom environment, and accurately record the thrust profile of the water rocket engine. Combined with advanced analytical software, ETU can predict real world performance of a water rocket.
With ETU, educators can create a fun learning environment in their classroom by demonstrating and teaching the principles of rocketry, laws of motion and flight paths. The data gathered can be related back to mathematical equations and laws of physics to augment understanding
HOW IT WORKS
- – Students fuel their water rocket engine and select a nozzle insert for launch.
- – The water rocket engine is loaded into the ETU.
- – The software is initiated, and desired parameters are set.
- – The software triggers the launch countdown and the autonomous system takes over. The pistons are engaged, and rocket is pressurized.
- – The load cell is adjusted and rocket is launched.
- – Thrust data is recorded, and various flight parameters are calculated and displayed.
